How is fuel cost computed?

Distance divided by your fuel efficiency gives the liters you need, and liters times the pump price gives the cost. For example, 100 km at 10 km per liter needs 10 liters; at ₱65 per liter that trip costs ₱650.

What fuel efficiency should I enter?

Your vehicle's real-world km per liter. In city traffic, sedans typically run 8 to 12 km per liter, SUVs and pickups 6 to 10, and motorcycles 30 to 50. Highway driving adds roughly 30 to 50 percent. If your dashboard shows an average consumption reading, use that.

How do I measure my actual km per liter?

Use the full-tank method: fill the tank until the pump clicks off, reset your trip meter, drive normally, then refill at the same station and pump speed. Divide the kilometers on the trip meter by the liters of the second refill. Two or three rounds of this gives a reliable number.

Philippine fuel companies adjust pump prices weekly, usually announced Monday and effective Tuesday, tracking international benchmark prices and the exchange rate. Enter the current price at your usual station; the result is only as fresh as the price you type.

Yes. The math is the same for gasoline, diesel, or any fuel sold per liter. Just enter your vehicle's own km per liter and the price of the fuel you actually buy.
